Moment of Truth

Living movie screens
Which actually are real.
What does this mirror reflect
What does the water reject
This computer screen intercept
Not only mirrors reflect
But dogs.
And your homemade chocolate chip cookies.
And your husband...
oh, Reveling woman,
Earth's rhythms dancing
To the only real audience.
Is my poker face improving with time?
I can't help but reflect what I see.
Layers upon layers,
Hidden dynasties of forgotten beauty,
And I want to really feel every one.
I see a race car
Gone out of control
See how it reflects,
This video game.
There is the truth.

Ancient Shard Sunset

So you say I'm flighty,
So are birds.

Right here, everything is happening!

Where the ribbon edge of a dark storm glows,
As it licks the sharp silhouette of mountains.

Heavy gray lids close down slowly over a white gold eye,
Flooding the valley with the day’s final light.

More than enough for us to take one last gaze,
Just before the stroke of twilight.

And now,
Where is the next place to be?
It is no longer here.

The birds knew long before I,
It was time to move on.

A Breath For A Breath

Breath is the key
To mastery of space.
The king lion's majesty,
A comforting constant.
The gentle, rhythmic flare of the nostril,
The softest glistening curl
Now
And now
And again
Never ceasing,
Only rising higher
In moments of glory.
It's in the undulation of the ribs,
Causing the golden ripple to flow.
Whoever breathes unfalteringly
No matter what comes
Is the one who will be followed.
Until, (with a smile)
The arrival of another
Who breathes more life in...
And with more breath
Comes more
Than was possible
Before...

An Exultation

Before you go,
Off to war and glory,
To feed this hungry world
Of empty mouths and starving hearts
With treasured morsels of knowledge.
You will teach them how to live again.

Oh! you will soothe their sadness,
And excite their passions,
With your strength of will
And relentless wisdom,
And irresistable masculine grace;
Trickster, martyr,
Who never really died.

Know this.

You are a treasure I found,
Which is not mine.
Like a jewel I was hired to find.

I found you, and you me.

And wherever you go,
I know you're out there.

Now,
You're being set in gold.
All who see you
Feel you,
The steady beat of power
In a perfect state.

Now, I feel you still.
I feel you always...
Now, the Earth is around you again,
Reclaiming you, taking it's turn.
In this silent darkness you dwell,
And I know, you're there.

It's not a matter of giving you up,
just of reverent knowing;
Your fate is so much more than mine.
